Heat Wave at Hidden Haven

It's that time of year again. Frozen water bottles for the bunnies and nice cold melons for the chickens, turkey, and geese. Ducks won't eat it but are enjoying playing in their pools.

The heat index may have been 100F but around the homestead we know a few things to keep cool. Gotta run. Time to play in the sprinkler!

Hi Peggy, You are so good to your animals... It has been so hot here also---disgusting!

Hope you haven't had anymore strange wildlife visiting you.
Hugs,
Betsy

I remember freezing bottles of water when we used to raise bunnies, it's been hot here as well.

That is so sweet the bunnies with their frozen water bottle. You are very good to your furry and feathered family.

I guess we're lucky that we didn't start with rabbits this spring, our weather has been INSANELY hot and dry and I'm afraid our fist attempt at raising them in this horrible summer heat would have been a disaster.
Good thing to know about the frozen water bottles, thanks!
