NC Mountains!
Anyone that has read much of my blog knows how much I love and miss my NC mountains. Well after months and months of talking about it we are moving back to my mountains! We are going to live in a small cabin next door to my daughter Melody and family. We will be a few minutes drive from daughter Megan and family while being less than 2 hours from daughter Maggie and family. We have a nice goat pen and pasture for our goats (we are still going to downsize) a nice big chicken run (downsizing them too) as well as duck pen and rabbit cages. We will be working on finding most of our animals good homes before moving and taking only a few of each with us. I will be going up for a week in April to paint, set out plants, flowers, herbs, etc that we are taking from here. The plan is for me to move in June and William to follow before August. We will have to come back once a month for awhile to sort and get rid of stuff but we have a sweet friend that is going to rent our house. I am so excited to be back in my mountains with my family and be able to go back to the church I enjoy going to. Lots to do between now and June but Hidden Haven Homestead is looking forward to being out of the heat and humidity of eastern NC and back in the wonderful mountains where snow actually falls in the winter.

Hi Peggy, As I told you on FB, I am SO SO SO happy for you. I'm sure that is an answer to prayer for you... Sounds like you have found a perfect place...
Good Luck with the down-sizing and with finding good homes for your animals you can't take with you...
Love and Prayers for you and for William.
Hugs,
Betsy
What a blessing, Peggy. I wish you so much happiness and an easy transition. Happy Easter.
Welcome back to the mountains Peggy.Maybe we will meet at one of your grand daughter's ball games as my daughter coaches at North Henderson high school
Blessings and happy moving
Oh Peggy that is so wonderful. I am so very happy for you. You are moving to paradise as far as I'm concerned. But, you know that! It wont be long until you are all moved in and settled. I would have moved there if not for my daughters love for ice hockey. LOL. Strange but that is the only reason we had to move further north. You have made my day.
How wonderful to be able to go back to the place that you love and be so close to your family--It's a dream that I have and hope comes true for us one day.
So happy that you are going home to your mountains, I remember when we moved away from Maine for what was only supposed to be a year, I was so happy to be back home.
Looking forward to reading about your new adventures!
Congratulations!!!...I can tell you are thrilled...Hoping all goes well and you find a great home for the critters you need to re-home! Looking forward to hearing about the adventure at your new place!
