Buttons Had Twins

Thursday evening I noticed Buttons having contractions.

Closed her up in a stall with hay and water and kept check on her throughout the night.

6:10AM Friday morning she delivered a healthy stubborn buckling. A beautiful little doeling followed in just a couple of minutes. As big as she was I just knew she was going to have at least 3 but she fooled me

. Within 5 minutes they were up nursing and walking around. Naming the doeling Gerda after my sweet german friend but haven't named the buckling yet though I keep calling him Bubba. It won't be his name but he acts just like a redneck. The boy is the brown cutie and the girl is grayish black with frosty ears. Life has been hectic around here for the past few days but will be back to post pictures of all the spring happenings around here. Have a very blessed day!

I am so jealous of those goat babies. What a sweet face on the little boy. My urge to move to the country has resurfaced in part due to your goats and other blogger's donkeys. I spent last evening looking at properties on the Internet. A gal's gotta have a dream.

Congrats to Buttons... What gorgeous little ones!!!! Can't believe that they look so different, one from the other...

I kinda like BUBBA for a name for your little redneck... OR maybe Billy Bob... ha ha

I just spent a pleasurable while visiting your blog and love the new life. You've a great way with the words, telling about kidding, showing the photos...it makes me "homesick" for lambing but...that's a distant season in my life and not the time now. Bubba. What a great name for a buckling; somehow he just screams to be called Bubba -grin-.

Congrats on the buckling and doeling! We had a buck named Bubba which was short for Bubba-Licious.

Hi Peggy ~ They're beautiful and so precious , glad the birthing went well. Bubba sounds like the perfect name for a redneck buck to me (LOL).
