Thanks To Facebook
My bed was late getting made. My laundry was late getting folded. My dishes were late getting done. My floors were late getting swept and mopped. All my normal morning indoor chores were put on hold for just a little while. Thanks to facebook I was able to message with my grandson Q. He is home with a viral infection. He can't talk above a whisper but he could type. We caught up on each others news and football. We talked about family and the farm. It wasn't a deep discussion, but it was a chance to just "talk" without interruptions or in a rush to be somewhere. Just Q and I chatting like we use to do in the little cabin. Sure miss having grands around to talk and laugh with in person. But thank you facebook for giving me a way to stay in touch with my grands. Makes me feel like I am still a part of their lives. Get well soon BBF Q!

um, what was that first thing you mentioned? making a bed? what is that? :)
I'm glad you can spend the time with him if only on FB. I know you were very close to the kids while at the little cabin. Hope he feels better soon.
Well--talking with family and especially our grands is more important than most anything else. Right????? Glad you caught up with him! Hope he feels better soon.
Hugs,
Betsy
Hope your grandson improves quickly and I'm thankful you two had this chance to "talk." Have a good afternoon/evening.
I love using SKYPE with my N.Carolina and Mississippi grand kids...except I always cry when I have to say goodbye..or when they say something so darn cute...
I bet years from now, if Q happens to bring up that time he was sick at home and you chatted with him on FB all morning, the first thought in your head WON'T be ...gosh, that was the morning all my housework got put on hold! Nah. I bet you don't even remember what you DIDN'T do that morning so you could talk to your grandson.
: )
I am able to keep up on what my niece's and nephew are up to via facebook and see their pictures. I'm glad for e-mail as well and Skype when we get a chance to set-up a time to Skype.
My parent's and I get to talk to my nephew in Georgia pretty often.
Blessings,
Amy
Isn't that the truth? So many people find the bad in social networking, it's a way for family and friends to stay in touch. Blogging adds to our lives, even if it takes away a few minutes (hours!) from housework!
Grands are the best!! And I KNOW he'll remember this special time with you forever and ever!!
I miss your cabin...
The beds and floors can wait , enjoy your facebook time with Q. Hope he makes a speedy recovery !
~ Blessings ~
