Head In A Bucket

It's like I am running around with my head in a bucket. I can't seem to get things done around here. I admit I have been staying up to watch both Republican and Democrat conventions and that has me dragging around in the mornings. I get so frustrated at both sides for stretching the truth and out and out lying on some things. I hate the bashing of each other and all the bragging. Will be glad but scared when the election is over. Anyway, enough about politics. Got the fall greenbeans and pepper plants mulched. The goat pens are halfway finished being raked. The stalls, shelters, and houses have fresh bedding. Don't know how long that will last as the dogs were rolling in all the shavings when I left the pens. Tinker is in season so Falcor is on a extended deployment to a friends farm. We do not want any puppies for a long, long, time. Mary, the sheep that was given to us 4 and a half months ago is pregnant. Must of happened before they slaughtered the ram and gave her to us. She looks like she will be birthing any day. I have the boxes of fall decorations out but that is all. They are sitting waiting on me to do something with other than walk around them. Hopefully will get to them this weekend. I did get a cake baked for my dear German friend Gerda. She turned 78 yesterday.  My oldest brother Marshall turned 71 on August 30th. I called to wish him a happy birthday and ended up depressed. He is having problems breathing. He keeps his business to himself so when you ask how he is doing he always says fine and wants to know how you are. It was a nice long conversation but he was breathing hard and whispering I had a hard time understanding. I kept it as light as possible and plan on making a trip to the mountains soon so I can visit him. Our conversations always end with; love you lil' sis and I love you too big brother. And I do. Love my big brother so very much. Now I need to see if I can get my head out of the bucket and get some of my to do list done.

Haha! When we had goats, some of them had a bucket on their head and an empty horse treat bag as well, one of their favorite flavors of horse treats.

Count those many blessings!

Hi Peggy, Read about your sheep being pregnant on FB...

Sorry to hear about your brother. I know it hurts you when your loved ones are hurting. May God be with him --and with sweet Gerda.

Politics can drive us all crazy for sure... I for one just hope and pray that we get a new President in November. I cringe thinking of 4 more years of the one we have now...

Hugs,
Betsy

My least favorite time is election time. The senseless fighting and name calling. Tell me what you're going to do and let it go.

I think you've had your fair share of puppies for awhile, too. ;)

Was Mary a William (hidden goat) acquisition? lolol
